Summary/Objective

Asset Protection Unit (APU) seeks an experienced Programmer / Analyst to join our team. APU is growing rapidly, and we look for engaged, enthusiastic, and excited individuals to become an integral part of our team.

What are we looking for?

We are searching for someone who can take a brand-new dataset, understand all of its components, and derive business meaning. This person will become the expert in all things data, all the while, keeping in mind business objectives.

As a growing organization, we’re looking for an individual to take ownership of the data environment and wrangle many differing datasets into shape. We expect this position to participate in cleansing, standardizing, and setting up reliable processes to manage our data. We are looking for a candidate to take a “holistic, whole organization” approach to our data and ensure that it efficiently flows throughout the organization, as well as making data available for reporting.

 

We are looking for experience in SAS, or with experience using another stack (Python, R, etc.) to analyze large datasets.

 

Actual Job Title / compensation will range from Programmer Analyst I-III or Senior Programmer Analyst, based on experience and ability to produce results for the organization.

Required Education and Experience

We expect this candidate to be able to self-learn and gather the right information to make informed decisions. APU will train the right candidate in the specific duties of the position, but the person must be able to take the initiative without being told what to do. College degree or work equivalent

·        Data Mining / ETL experience

·        SQL

Preferred Education and Experience

·        SAS Programming

·        Microsoft SQL Server

·        Experience with project management and delivery

·        Distributed Version Control

 

Eligibility Qualifications

·        Intermediate Windows & MS Office skills are mandatory.

·        Passing a skills test may be required.

Position Type/Expected Hours of Work 

This is a full-time position. Days and hours of work are Monday through Friday, 8 a.m. to 5 p.m. This position requires 40 hours per week with some time outside of the normal hours.

 

Travel

No travel is expected for this position.
